Applications for the 2020 GM Financial Parade of Lights will be available July 15, 2020!

Current applicants are invited to review the information below, as well as our Parade Policies. You will be responsible for the rules and regulations set forth in our updated policies.

By applying for and being accepted into the Parade of Lights, you agree to abide by these policies, and allow Downtown Fort Worth Initiatives, Inc., or its assignees, to use your entry, its likeness and the likeness of any and all entry participants in any future promotional or marketing materials.

You also agree to have the requisite number of lights on either your walkers, float, vehicle, horse and/or carriage.  For our 36th parade, you will have to pass an inspection at the staging area, and, if your entry is found to be deficient in lights, you will be pulled from the lineup. Our lights are what keep us at the top of the attractions in the Metroplex over the holidays!

We are looking for creativity, originality and, most of all…incredible lighting, wonderful music and awesome special effects! The more creative the entry, the better the chance of acceptance and of making this parade one of the most creative in all of Texas. The success of the Parade of Lights has been based on the originality and artistic creation of our floats and entries, and on the spectacular use of lights and special effects has set this parade apart.

The 2020 entry fees for each type of entry is:

  • Commercial – $950
  • Non-commercial (without an IRS 501c3 designation such as a membership group, family entry, etc.) – $175
  • Non-profit (with letter showing IRS 501c3 charitable designation): $75

Our deadline for entries is Friday, September 25, 2020.  Notices will go out all approved participants as to their status on October 11.
