Participate

The Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights is dedicated to preserving a top quality community parade with thousands of lights and a tremendous entertainment value, and there are several ways YOU can participate in Texas' top holiday parade! Check out last year's award winners by clicking here.

  • Enter a decorated float, performance, equestrian or walking unit or a specially decorated vehicle.  Our online form is easy, and our fees start at $65 for an approved, non-profit organization.  Commercial fees (which include broadcast time on TXA-21) are only $950.  Sponsorship packages with commercial time on the broadcast are also available.  Click here to find out more about applying for entry, or email us for more information on Sponsorships.  (Note: The deadline to enter a float is October 4)
  • Purchase seats for your entire family, or purchase a block of seats and celebrate the holidays Downtown with employees, clients or other guests.  Click here to purchase seats online, or email us for special pricing for blocks of 25 or more.
  • Volunteer!  This parade and our day-long activities wouldn't happen without our hundreds of dedicated volunteers, needed to walk in the parade, help with staging...and more!  Our online signup form will be ready shortly, but you can find out more about our volunteer needs by clicking here.
  • Walk! Join us for the annual Mrs. Renfro’s Salsa Night of Lights Fitness Walk, presented by 103.7 LITE-FM, a 1.58-mile walk that travels the Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights’ parade route in downtown Fort Worth in front of thousands of spectators on parade night.  The “Night of Lights Fitness Walk” begins promptly at 5:40 p.m., and all walkers will have reserved seats in our special “Walk” section at the conclusion of the walk. Links to sign up will be provided August 15, 2013.

With the addition of broadcast sponsor, TXA-21, and the live broadcast of the entire parade on Friday night, and again via tape on Saturday evening, we are focused more than ever on the quality of our entries.  Thousands of people from around the Metroplex join us downtown, some purchasing front row seats, and our float participants provide the show!

tcu.jpgYou're invited to join us on our one-mile parade route with colorful illuminated floats, beautiful antique cars, marching bands, equestrian units, horse-drawn carriages and a cast of delightful characters dressed in their holiday best. The unforgettable parade and an annual visit from Santa Claus and his elves will make the Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights a fun-filled holiday experience for the entire family.

Please review our Parade Policies prior to applying as you will be responsible for all information contained therein.  We need YOU to be a part of our spectacular celebration!
